The Sync Fast-Track: New Options for Media-Savvy Artists
(Moderator: Mark Frieser) Among artist revenue stream options, Sync licensing has become one of the fastest growing and most lucrative. Movies, TV series, commercials, video games… all potentially offer compensation, exposure and a foot-in-the-door for future “passive income” opportunities. Agencies have stepped in to “match-make” artists and sync licensing clients. And tech-based platforms have sprung up that can facilitate artists’ access to music supervisors who can introduce their music to whole new audiences. In this session, we’ll evaluate the options and talk about what’s at stake, revenue-wise.
