RICHARD CONLON is a founding partner of Catch Point Rights Partners focused on portfolio strategy, transaction origination and revenue optimization. Prior to Catch Point he was the founder of Rights Management Holdings LLC, where he provided strategic advisory services to rights owners, major music publishers, collective rights management organizations, record labels and financial institutions in the entertainment space.

His background includes positions in the C-Suite and on the boards of directors at music rights management organizations spanning sound recordings and music publishing. He served as the Chief External Affairs Officer and Chief Corporate Development Officer at digital sound recording rights agency SoundExchange where he oversaw SoundExchangeā€™s artist relations, global public policy and communications teams and the companyā€™s expansion into new lines of business serving labels, artists, music publishers, and licensees. Previously, he was a senior executive at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) for more than 20 years, serving as Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy, Communications & New Media. Richard launched BMIā€™s global digital rights licensing division, managed corporate communications, and oversaw the firmā€™s global corporate strategy and planning efforts. He also held executive positions at Viacomā€™s Pay Per View television production and marketing unit and at The Learning Channel (TLC) cable network. He served on the Board of Directors of The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd where he was Chair of the Management Committee and on the Board of Directors of SXWorks.

Richard holds a B.A. in English from Boston College and earned his M.A.in Communications Management from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California.
