Jonathan McHugh is an independent filmmaker and TV/film music supervisor who has held high ranking positions at New Line Cinema/Warner Brothers, Sony Records, Universal Records over the past few decades.

He has just finished directing his first two films; “Long Live Rock…Celebrate the Chaos” as well as “Cosplay Universe.” He has produced over 35 films and TV shows.

He is currently producing the Muhammad Ali documentary “City of Ali.”

McHugh has music supervised and produced seventy-five films & TV series with some of musics biggest stars including “Janis Joplin’s highly regarded documentary, “Janis: Little Girl Blue,” Lionsgate‘s “Snoop Dogg‘s Hood Of Horror,  “Repo The Genetic Opera,” (Sarah Brightman) Lifetime’s “Flying By” (Billy Ray Cyrus) and the Discovery’ TV’s “Battle Ground Earth” (Ludacris & Motley Crues Tommy Lee.)

McHugh is currently music supervising the Starz/Lionsgate TV series “Blindspotting” and “Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers” starring Tiffany Haddish, Woody Harrelson, Pete Davidson and John Goodman. He is also just music supervised the independent films “Butter” “Up To Snuff” and “Dweller.”

McHugh is a former Grammy Trustee and President of the LA Chapter, Producers Guild  Documentary jury member and Secretary and co-founder of the Guild of Music Supervisors which just celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
