Elizabeth got her start in the industry in 2010 with her Toronto-based music blog Torontette, which showcased Canadian bands, artist interviews, show reviews and more. In 2011 she pivoted her passion for music into a career, joining the Sony Music Canada marketing team. After a healthy tenure with this major label she decided to go indie: 2024 marks five years since she helped establish AWALā€™s Toronto office and in this time, she has cultivated a dynamic roster of Canadian independent artists to present on the global stage vis-a-vis AWALā€™s modern business model. Most notably in 2023, Elizabeth signed The Beaches to a worldwide AWAL Recordings deal, one that provides the band with all the resources of a global label, while allowing them to retain ownership and control of their music.
