Elise Milani is the Toronto-based Head of Music Marketing at Electronic music’s leading independent record label, Monstercat. In this role, Milani manages a multinational team of Project Managers tasked to deliver marketing strategies for Monstercat’s demanding frontline release schedule, totaling five releases per week.
Since joining Monstercat in April 2022, she has made significant contributions to the label’s success, including the breakout of UK duo Punctual’s “Do It All Again,” which amassed over 50 million streams within its first year. In addition, she recently oversaw the marketing rollout for WHIPPED CREAM’s “The Dark” feat. Jasiah & Crimson Child, the first-ever volumetrically captured VR music video in Canada. This unique interactive VR exhibit premiered at the SXSW XR Experience program in March 2023 and is the world’s highest-resolution VR music experience to date.
Prior to joining Monstercat, Milani was the Senior Artist & Operations Manager at 2+2 Management, where she worked with several award-winning Canadian artists, including REZZ, Zeds Dead, and Keys N Krates. Her talent for developing acts regionally and internationally has resulted in two JUNO Awards, six JUNO nominations, and multiple Music Canada-accredited records. One notable achievement was the premiere of REZZ’s JUNO Award-winning Beyond the Senses (2019) EP, a virtual reality concert that rented global VR lounges for fans to view simultaneously.
