is proud to announce performers for the 2017 INDIE AWARDS
at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto on April 19, 2017
. Presented by Jim Beam with Indie88, this year’s artists include Toronto’s HOLLERADO and THE WOODEN SKY joined by St. John, NL indie-pop quartet REPARTEE.
This year’s edition will also feature a performance from the grand prize winner of the Jim Beam Make History Talent Search. The
inaugural competitionin association with Canadian Music Week supports indie and emerging artists through a national showcase of undiscovered talent. The radio-driven contest will take place in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal in partnership with 102.7 The Peak, X92.9, Indie 88 and CHOM FM. Artists (not signed to a major record label), are invited to submit an original song or video and bio to the radio stations’ websites or

, where a music industry panel at Canadian Music Week will select up to 5 artists as regional finalists in each market (20 in total). The winning bands from each city will be entered into the national competition, where a music industry panel from Canadian Music Week will select one grand prize winner. The selected artist will win travel, accommodation and be invited to perform live during Canadian Music Week Festival at the 2017 INDIE AWARDS.
