Canadian Music Week is pleased to announce the winners of the 17th annual Canadian Radio Music Awards¸which took place tonight at Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre. Presented by Bell Media, the Canadian Radio Music Awards celebrated both national and international artists who have gained significant traction on Canadian radio over the past year.
Burlington’s Walk Off The Earth emerged as the evening’s big winners; taking home an impressive four awards out of their five total nominations, including Best New Group or Solo Artist (Hot AC), Song of the Year, and Fan’s Choice.
The awards ceremony featured special performances by Walk off the Earth, Down With Webster, Trevor Guthrie, Head of the Herd, Tyler Shaw, Virgina to Vegas, and Brett Kissel.
Two additional non-voting awards were also presented this evening: Toronto rap-rockers Down With Webster took home the Heatseeker Award, and the Sennheiser Chart Topper Award for top overall airplay was presented to Serena Ryder. The full list of nominees and winners can be found below.
