Lisa Patterson is an award-winning producer, songwriter, musician and entrepreneur base
in Toronto, Canada. She has been championing innovation and collaboration in studios and on stages across 4 continents for the past 25 years. Founder-director of imaginit music studio, Patterson has worked on over 10 albums & countless demos, specializing in singer/songwriters and acoustic Roots, World, Folk, Indigenous and Jazz genres. In 2017 she launched H.E.R. studio: Heroes of Engineering and Record Production to advocate for female-identifying audio workers.

Career highlights include co-producing projects with Juno & Polaris Prize winning producer Michael Phillip Wojewoda (Buffy Sainte-Marie, Amelia Curran, Bare Naked Ladies); Grammy nominated & Juno award-winning producer Adam Messinger (Magic!, Iggy Azalea, Shakira); and studio veteran Nick Blagona (Tea Party, Deep Purple, Oliver Jones).

Patterson produced and engineered the debut disc for European sensation Haitian-Canadian, Melissa Laveaux that got her signed to No Format / Universal (France). She has also recorded WOMEX Artist of the Year 2016, Calypso Rose; Polaris Prize winner Lido Pimienta; Juno award-winning Dub Poet Lillian Allen; and Juno nominated World music group Toronto Tabla Ensemble. Current projects include writing and producing Pop/Rap tracks with 'Canada's Music Incubator' prize winner, Esma.

Studio & stage collaborators include 2018 World music Juno winner Drew Gonsalves (Kobo Town), Canadian Folk Music & Juno award-winning Arabic chanteuse Maryem Tollar, Juno nominated Aviva Chernick (Jaffa Road) and Juno award winning Donne Roberts (African Guitar Summit).

As a recording artist Patterson has commercially released 4 albums and 5 official videos with singles play-listed nationally and internationally; including the Top Ten charted single 'Need Each Other' peaking at #1 in the Benelux garnering a Rough Trade distribution deal. Placement in award-winning shorts and features includes projects by directors Bruce McDonald, Ingrid Veninger and Darrell Wasyk.

Patterson's humanitarian and youth mentorship work includes producing benefit concerts for Stephen Lewis Foundation's work with Panzi Hospital in DRCongo; Honey Jam sound workshop and presenting Youth Songwriter Showcases (with partners IMP Seneca College, S.A.C & Music Ontario). Recognition highlights: 2016 Jack Richardson London Music Hall of Fame induction, the Leonardo da Vinci Award for Creativity and Innovation and the Paul Casino Achievement Award. She is a graduate of Fanshawe College Music Production and York University Music Performance BFA.
