Jarrett is a leading voice in contemporary Indigenous music, media, and cultural production. He works extensively at the intersections of arts, media, technology, and social movements as a producer, curator, scholar, and artist. He is the co-founder and Creative Producer of Revolutions Per Minute, a global new music platform, record label, and boutique agency promoting cross-genre, contemporary Indigenous music. Jarrett is currently working with the City of Vancouver to lead the Vancouver Music Strategy, and he is the host and producer of Reclaimed, a weekly series on CBC Music that explores next wave Indigenous music. Prior to his work with the City of Vancouver and hosting Reclaimed, Jarrett produced the documentary series RISE for Viceland; hosted the CBC's Emmy-nominated cross-platform television series ZeD; and served as host and producer of Brave New Waves, an acclaimed late night music series on CBC Radio. Jarrett is nêhiyaw and Dene Suline from Frog Lake First Nation in Alberta and he holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria. He currently resides in Vancouver on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil Waututh) Nations.
