RH started his music career playing in bands and as a professional DJ at venues, residencies and festivals across the UK. After obtaining a degree in Ethnomusicology at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, RH joined Music Copyright Holdings Plc working in both royalty accounting and copyright registration, film music supervision and synchronisation, eventually becoming creative manager, and subsequently creating a world music and film division.

In 2003 RH started a freelance film & TV supervision company, working on campaigns with brands including Marks & Spencer, the Discovery Channel, and National Geographic, and films such as Bend it Like Beckham.

In 2010 Rupert joined Imagem Music, one of the world’s largest independent music publishers, as creative manager in film and television. There he represented the Rodgers & Hammerstein and Boosey & Hawkes catalogues, as well as numerous artists and bands on the pop side including Daft punk, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Mark Ronson and The Stone Roses.

In 2014 RH joined the Metropolis Group of Companies as Creative Director, creating a new publishing division(Metropolis Music Publishing Limited), which is now recognised as a frontline industry vehicle, signing contemporary artists and composers, and servicing the music needs of feature films, TV and video games. MMP are currently supervising four major feature films, and last year completed projects for the BBC, Martin Scorsese and Porshe.
