Susan Marjetti

Susan Marjetti is Executive Director of CBC Radio and Audio. She was appointed to the Network's top job in 2015.

For 15 years before that Susan was CBC's Senior Managing Director of the Ontario Region.

In Toronto, Susan and her team implemented a plan to ensure the public broadcaster looked and sounded like the community in all its diversity. ‎As a result, programs such as Metro Morning went to number one for the first time in CBC's history in 2003. That show remains number one to this day.

Susan's leadership in diversity and inclusion has been honoured numerous times. In 2017 she received the Rosalie Award for blazing new trails in radio. In 2014, Susan was honoured with a Harry Jerome Award presented by the Black Business Professionals Association. In that same year, she was inducted into the Ryerson Radio and Television 'Wall of Fame' for 'significant contributions in the field of media'. And in 2012 she was awarded by Innoversity ‎for outstanding leadership in diversity in media.

An award winning journalist, programmer, mentor and strategic leader, Susan's career spans more than three decades in markets large and small, private and public media across Canada.
