TRACY D. KANE is a partner in the Nashville law firm of Dodson, Parker, Behm & Capparella, P.C., where she maintains a diverse practice drawing from her experience in government, community service, business and international trade to advise start-ups and companies experiencing rapid growth through complex problems. Kane brings a depth of international business and trade experience to her law practice having served as a trade policy specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China, and subsequently leading Nashville-based Gibson Guitar’s new market-entry and brand-building operations throughout the Asia-Pacific region. She received her B.A. from American University and J.D. from Vanderbilt University. Committed to public service and community activism, Kane is active with several non-profits and professional associations, including the Urban Land Institute’s Building Healthy Places Action Council, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, and the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. Kane’s greatest passion has been her ten-year service on the Board of Sister Cities of Nashville (SCN). A three-time past-President of SCN, Kane lead the effort to establish a new sister city relationship with Taiyuan, China in 2007 and has served as the Chair of the Belfast-Nashville committee for the past three years. Nashville currently maintains eight active Sister City partnerships including Edmonton, Canada; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Caen, France; Magdeburg, Germany; Mendoza, Argentina; Kamakura, Japan; Taiyuan, China; and Tamworth, Australia. www.scnashville.org.
