Larry Heath

Founder and Editor-in-Chief,
The AU Review/ The Iris
Sydney, NSW, Australia
Larry Heath is one of the Australian music industry's proudest supporters. As the founder and editor-in-chief of the popular independent music & arts outlet the AU review, Larry has made a name for himself travelling the world supporting great Australian music - and bringing the music of the world back to the ears of his Australian readers in the process.

Off the back of the site - which reaches some 2.5 million people a month - Larry has published four music related books, runs a regular live acoustic session series in Sydney, spoken at events around the world - from SXSW in Austin to Music Matters in Singapore - appeared on TV in Canada and Australia and launched the Music Video Festival "Captured".

Launched as a personal project in 2008, the AU review took on a life of its own and in its 6 and a half years online it has grown into one of the most read music sites in the country - spawning five sister sites, four books, a digital radio station and regular events in Australia and around the world, including at the annual CMJ festival in New York City.

Content from the site has also appeared on HBO, in the recent DFA1979 documentary an in publications around the world - from SPIN to the Rolling Stone. But its mission statement has never changed, supporting independent artists from Australia as they travel the world, emerging artists from across the globe, as well publishing content from a healthy mix of well established and young, up-and-coming writers and photographers.
