James Black is a co-founder, songwriter and guitarist for Canadian rock band Finger Eleven. In addition, James is a co-founder, songwriter, lead singer and guitarist in a country roots band called Blackie Jackett Jr (along with f11’s Rick Jackett). With Finger Eleven, James has released five studio albums which have achieved Gold status in the United States, Platinum in Canada, and have won a Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year in 2008. One of their singles – Paralyzer – has sold over 4,000,000 copies and broke the Canadian record for the most weeks at #1 on the Canadian Rock Charts. In addition to co-producing Finger Eleven’s latest album – Life Turns Electric - James has also produced several albums for a variety of indie projects including Magneta Lane’s 2013 release “Witchrock”. James will also be releasing a solo album in the spring of 2013.
