Jonas is a music and media executive with experience working for start-ups as well as established corporations on both sides of the Atlantic.

Having launched his career working for multi-national record labels such as Ministry of Sound (London, UK) and PIAS Recordings (Hamburg, Germany), Jonas assumed the role as Head of Music at the digital music start-up Last.fm in 2005. He was in charge of all negotiations and relationships with music owners when CBS acquired Last.fm for US$280 million in 2007 and continued help growing the company until he moved to Vancouver, BC in 2010.

Jonas joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to lead the development of CBC Music, the public broadcaster's digital music service. He has since moved to the position of Managing Editor for CBC Music which is attracting 1.2 million Canadians every month. He is in charge of managing the editorial and development teams that make CBC Music one of the most successful digital music services in Canada.
