Growing up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Carriere embraced the growing punk music scene and in 2001 harnessed his passion for music into his first successful industry endeavor, the cutting edge website Bedlam Society. Carriere also started managing Canadian band Alexisonfire in 2001, a groundswell success story that went on to earn several industry accolades including Platinum and JUNO awards. Dine Alone Records became his next endeavor in 2005 and has since grown to be a Toronto, Nashville and LA-based record label boasting a roster of over 50 national and international artists including City and Colour, The Lumineers, Monster Truck, Tokyo Police Club, Marilyn Manson, Lieutenant (Nate Mendel’s solo project), James Vincent McMorrow and Shovels & Rope. Recently, Carriere launched a developing aggressive rock label called New Damage (home to Cancer Bats, Biblical, KEN mode, Silverstein, etc.) and has been involved in the development of Haven, a cutting-edge hip-hop/EDM and remix label.
On top of all of this Carriere has recently launched, Dine Alone Foods, with co-founder Jordan Hastings (Alexisonfire, Say Yes) and features uniquely crafted, all natural sauces that can be found at Whole Foods in Ontario, independent grocery stores across the country as well as several popular Toronto eateries.
