Christine Hunter; her inspiration, leadership and love of music is unparalleled.

Christine Hunter is a name that rings synonymous in the Canadian music scene and her contributions to the entertainment industry in Canada have not gone unrecognized. She’s held down many pinnacle roles for some of Canada’s most prestigious music festivals, events and awards panels in the country. A strong woman, a born leader bred to lead amazing teams, she’s fully dedicated herself to the entertainment industry for the rest of her life. You can always expect attention to detail, the highest quality work, an unsurpassed perseverance and follow up to get the job done right. Her current role as the Entertainment, Artist Relations & Marketing Director at Shambhala Music Festival has really put her and her team in the limelight having brought the festivals notoriety to world famed status.

Shambhala Music Festival is a 11,000-person five day outdoor electronic music festival that takes place in August on the Salmo River Ranch in small town Salmo in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. Being brought up in the music industry got her involved at an early age. She’s been surrounded by music industry professionals and world-class performers for most of her life, a place where she’s gained a wealth of knowledge and inspiration from many mentors directly or indirectly. She breathes, eats, sleeps and lives the entertainment
industry every day and has for a long time. In 2003 she completed post-secondary programs in Events and Convention Management and International Tourism and Hospitality Management at Holland College, PEI. It’s only been onward and upward from there.

Christine’s contributions past and present don’t allow for much down time. Tied to a laptop nearly every waking moment of the day procuring contracts, setting schedules, arranging transport, volunteer coordination, security details, and sorting out logistics she’s literally connected to every aspect of any show or event she touches. A dependable and reliable asset to any team with a keen ear for good music she’s served as a juror on four panels for the 2016 & 2013 Juno’s, 2013 & 2012 Kootenay Music Awards and the 2011 BC Music Awards. She’s actively contracted for various festivals and events throughout western Canada year round.

She’s also worked in the capacities of Artist Relations Manager, Production Assistant, Venue Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Hospitality, Production Coordinator, Stage Manager, Transportation Coordinator, FOH Support, Box Office Manager and Security. Her clients include: Blueprint Events, The Gathering, Outlook Festival, Dimensions Festival, Canada Snowbombing, Pemberton Music Festival, Union Electronic, Tough Mudder, Canadian Music Week, PK Sound Bass Cannon, City of Calgary Snowblower, Kelowna’s Pop Okanagan, Breakout West Music Festival (Kelowna and Calgary), Boodang Events, Connected Summers End, Whistler Ski & Snowboard Festival, Motion Notion Arts and Music Festival, and on various film productions. Her positive attitude when troubleshooting a challenge at hand is uncanny and she’s fully result oriented. Christine’s experience is primarily of large-scale event management, and she has the skills to lead the highest quality teams with successful end results.

She’s also the owner and operator of FOREAL Productions which she was inspired to create back in 2008. At FOREAL Productions, Christine produces and promotes live shows and coordinates tours.
Christine, in essence, is the full professional entertainment industry package. With a breadth of knowledge and experience spanning a fifteen plus year career it’s always a step in the right direction having this woman on or leading your team. She’s young, vibrant; a pure pleasure to be around and rest assured this is only the start of a life long career in the industry...
