This year marks Paul Mercs’ 40th year in the entertainment business: concert promotion, artist management, and large-scale event production. With concert promotion as his primary business, Paul operates Canada-wide, coast to coast. In recent years, he has toured such artists as Pearl Jam, Jeff Beck,Heart, Deep Purple, Chris Cornell, Bill Cosby, Willie Nelson, Brian Wilson, John Prine, The Moody Blues, and Diana Krall.

Paul has produced a number of high-profile, national events over the years, including the Expo Theatre at Expo ‘86, hosting more than 135 performances in five months. Featured artists included Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, Liberace, George Burns, Eurythmics, and Baryshnikov, as well as the Royal Gala with Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Marking the Hudson’s Bay Company’s 325th anniversary, Paul produced the Big Sky outdoor music festival featuring twenty high-profile Canadian artists on the Main Stage, including Bryan Adams, Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Sarah McLachlan.

In 1997, Canadians celebrated the 10th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour with Rick Hansen: A Celebration, broadcast live on CBCTelevision.

Paul has also promoted some of Canada’s highest-profile touring festival events, including Bryan Adam’s “Waking Up the Nation” tour and the Lollapalooza events in Vancouver.
