Programming a music festival is not as easy as it looks. Buyers spend all year scouting talent, from the headliners to the barely legible names at the bottom, every slot is scrutinized to ensure the best lineup possible, and to stay on budget. In this session you will meet some of Canada’s top festival buyers/programmers who’ll give you a behind the curtain peek at the obstacles of putting these large scale events together and how they sweat the big and small stuff to ensure success.
