Tonya began her career as a make-up artist working in film & television. This led her to becoming the National Account Executive for Stila Cosmetics (Estee Lauder Co.), after which she took on the role of National Brand Manager for Holt Renfrew/Sisley Cosmetics. In 2009, encouraged by her film composer and Guild President father, Chris Dedrick, she joined the Screen Composers Guild of Canada (SCGC). In her position as Executive Director, she is involved in all aspects of the SCGC’s activities, from advocacy work and event planning, to industry and educational outreach initiatives. In addition to her work with the Guild, She serves on the executive for Music Creators North America.
