TK Smoothe (Tonderai Kanonge) is the CEO of Moonraiser Ent. He was born in Zimbabwe and is based in Toronto, Canada. Moonraiser Ent has hosted several events in Canada showcasing the diversity in music, arts and dance cultures of Southern Africa.
TK Smoothe has now elevated his focus using Moonraiser Ent platform to promote Africa on different festivals like Electric Island Toronto, Afrofest (the biggest African festival in North America), Batuki Festival, Africa Music Week and other various organizations to present Southern African acts such as the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, Dr Thomas Mapfumo, Jah Prayzah, Winky D, Tocky Vibes, Trevor Dongo, Freeman HKD, Mafikizolo, Mi Casa, Black Motion, Black Coffee, Dj Cndo, Zakes Batwini, Revolution and The Dogg, Majorleaguedjz just to mention a few.
African Entertainment awarding bodies such as Toronto African Entertainment Awards have recognised TK Smoothe’s hard work and dedication to the industry by constantly nominating both TK Smoothe and Moonraiser Ent for multiple awards in multiple categories such as “Best DJ”, “Best Promoter” and βBest Concert”. In 2012 Moonraiser Ent went on to win the Best Concert category for the African Entertainment awards.
