Sarah leads the public affairs and policy initiatives of Music Canada, the trade association representing Canada’s major record labels. She works closely with industry stakeholders and government representatives to build policies that protect artists, strengthen the modern music ecosystem and create an environment where the businesses who partner with and invest in artists can grow and thrive. Prior to joining Music Canada, Sarah had a broad intellectual property practice at a national corporate law firm where she represented a variety of clients in transactional matters and also before the Copyright Board with respect to the use of music. Sarah serves as a Board member of the music industry charity Unison and also as an Advisory Committee Member to ADVANCE.
