Roman Rappak is cofounder and Chief Creative Officer of Ristband, and frontman of electronic alternative band Miro Shot.
Ristband is a gaming platform for AAA user generated content. The platform enables artists creators with fair remuneration structures based on the new ways people are engaging with and creating games. Launched in September 2021, Ristband received an equity free grant from Epic Games to develop their Unreal Engine powered platform which has since received the SXSW Audience Award 2023, and “Best Designed Metaverse” at the Paris Metaverse Summit 2022. The team already works with world-class artists, actors, influencers and entertainment brands.
Rappak has directed award winning short films, soundtracked games and scored films, released and toured two full length albums with his previous band Breton (Fat Cat / Warp), as well as creating immersive cinema experiences that toured from the BFI London to the ACMI Australia. His band Miro Shot created the world’s first XR live music concert, touring art galleries, venues, cinemas, warehouses and festivals in the UK, France, Germany, Dubai and Holland, from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Amsterdam (CBK) to the Barbican in London. They premiered their US show at the Official Music Metaverse x NFT stage at SXSW 2022. Rappak was tipped as one of Music Ally’s ‘Ones To Watch’ in music and technology in 2022.
