Kyla O’Donovan is living her dream career as a Music Supervisor. Simply put, music is essential to her core and embedded in her DNA. She’s always been deeply entrenched, in many facets of the arts and recognized the integral role of syncing music to visual production as her intrinsic calling. Born and raised in White Rock, B.C. Now based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She is grateful to reside and work on the unceded territory of the Squamish, Tsleil- Waututh & Musqueam First Nations, and is continuously dedicated to discovering incredible local talent, all the while creating memorable moments through sync.

As a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a certification in music supervision and an awarded scholarship. Kyla approaches every creative project with fearlessness, diplomacy, and a collaborative mindset. While there, she not only studied music supervision, but in addition, music licensing, business, publishing, and U.S copyright law in depth.

Kyla is a proud member of the Guild of Music Supervisors, enthusiastically now involved with CMW and GMS Canada, and is quickly becoming a pillar in the North American music supervision community. She’s tremendously thankful to CMW for the opportunity to moderate such a special keynote panel and fireside chat alongside her friend and renowned Music Supervisor himself, Everton Lewis Jr. And of course, her mentor and friend, Thomas. Kyla is currently freelancing and has new projects on the go. Stay tuned!
