Joseph Woll was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 62nd pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. The 25-year-old Maple Leafs goaltender has 21 wins in 36 NHL regular-season games played, along with 3 wins in 7 playoff games.  Prior to Woll’s NHL career, he played for the United States in the 2017 and 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship where he won a gold and bronze medal, respectively. While with the Toronto Marlies in 2022-23, he was 16-4-1 with a .927 save percentage and was also named a North Division All-Star.

As he continues to display his talent in the crease, he has also taken part in numerous off-ice initiatives, while giving back to the Toronto community and being a mental health advocate.

Woll continues to work on becoming a master of his mental game both on and off the ice, a key for any professional hockey player. He always strived for success in his academics, and earned his finance degree at Boston College where he also received a scholar-athlete award. His hard work ethic stemmed from striving in his childhood academics. While in the midst of his studies, Woll found a passion for the piano, displaying his musical talent to keep himself focused and at peace. He continues to grow his relationship with the Holland-Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation hospital where he has enjoyed being a part of many fundraisers thus far including their annual Capes for Kids program.
