Jennifer (‘Sooks”) Sookdeo has been a prominent figure in the music and event industry across Canada for over a decade. As the co-manager of Montreal’s alt-rock darlings Sam Roberts Band, founder of SOOKS productions, tour operations manager for Aysanabee, and a freelance Event Production Manager, she often wears multiple hats with expertise that allows her to support the musicians journey’s to the stage as well as making the fans experience in the audience memorable, safe, & carefree. Boasting credits across Canada’s prolific festival scene, Jenn has been involved in bringing together fan experiences for The Tragically Hip, The Full Flex Tour, and Way Home & Boots & Hearts, among many others. As a production manager and producer she has helped bring to life many high profile events for clients such as the The City of Toronto, Live Nation, MRG, Dream Serenade, Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre, The Invictus Games, and Collision. With a focus on providing much needed mentorship for underrepresented minorities in the industry, SOOKS Productions has provided opportunities to nurture and guide the next generation of entertainment industry professionals and continuously strives to break down barriers for herself and others.
