Born in Montreal, raised in London (UK) and living in Ontario, HERDD is an artist with a truly unique lens. Ever since his debut release in 2019, HERDD has been serving up eclectic electropop vibes that Billboard lovingly likened to ‘early Gaga with shades of Daft Punk’. And momentum is really growing. Building upon his ongoing collaborations with the multi-platinum award winning Rob Wells (credits include: Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber), HERDD has released multiple solo and collaborative projects, garnering a reputation for being unafraid to challenge genre norms.

2022 was a year dedicated to collaboration and exploration. With collaborative releases that charted on multiple international iTunes Charts, song editorial playlist placement on the likes of Apple’s ‘New Music Daily’, solo singles that were well received across social media platforms like TikTok (where content featuring HERDD songs amassed over 4 million views to date) and a growing Spotify listenership, HERDD spent 2023 in the studio working on his debut full length release ‘Afterlife’, which he previewed select tracks from at Canadian Music Week 2023.

‘Afterlife’ is the definitive HERDD release of this project so far. It documents HERDD’s struggles and successes with his mental health. The album, which was preceded by two album singles, was released on May 10th 2024 and the release was celebrated with an album release party at Le Ministère in Montreal. The 2nd album single ‘Paranoia’ charted at #13 on the Canadian Electronic Music Charts.

HERDD (a.k.a Frankie Cote) has also played shows to crowds exceeding 1400 people supporting major acts such as Example, Tinchy Stryder and the KaiserChiefs (DJSet), he’s performed at festivals such as Bestival and Blissfields and received national BBC Radio 1 airtime in the UK courtesy of DJ and supporter Rob Da Bank. He has also performed at top venues such as the Camden Underworld and Ronnie Scotts, where he was asked to ‘at least wear socks next time you’re planning to dance on a table’. HERDD also spoke and performed at TEDx Collingwood 2019 and created and released ‘Get Heard with HERDD’, a podcast dedicated to giving small artists a platform during the pandemic.
