Darryl Hurs is a music industry professional with 30+ years of experience in various roles including venue booking, talent buying, artist management, instruction, sponsorship, and design. As the Market Manager for CD Baby Canada, he is responsible for brand recognition, sponsorships/partnerships, and artist education. Previously, he worked with Live Nation on projects for major artists like Beyonce and Jay-Z, as well as branding and web design. Darryl is also the founder and manager of INDIE WEEK, one of Canada’s largest music showcase festivals and conferences. He successfully pivoted the festival to virtual hosting in response to COVID-19, offering four annual online music conferences (INDIE WEEK, SCREENxSCREEN, indie101, Music Pro Summit) and a weekly webinar series called INDIE WEEKLY.
