Alex plays a key role in FAI’s operations/growth; leading the staff, overseeing fundraising/partnerships, and working with the ED in service to our mission. FAI is the world’s largest membership organization for folk professionals and produces the world’s largest showcase conference for folk music representing a global community of artists, agents, managers, labels, publicists, arts administrators, venues, festivals, and concert series presenters. FAI serves, strengthens, and engages the folk music community through preservation, presentation, and promotion and produces the world’s largest annual folk music conference as well as the International Folk Music Awards, year-round professional development webinars, the Folk DJ Chart, and Global Summits that connect professionals around the folk music world.
Alex’s previous work experience at MIDEM, gives him a unique global perspective on international markets and multiple income streams in music. He is a bass player, songwriter, GrammyU mentor, and Leadership Bluegrass Alum.
