Through its Toronto and US offices, peermusic completed an acquisition this year for the music publishing catalogue of Canadian Hall of Fame inductee, artist and songwriter Corey Hart. The acquisition encompasses the publishing copyrights for Hartâs entire music catalogue consisting of over 200 songs, including including the iconic hits âSunglasses at Nightâ and âNever Surrender.â Corey Hart has sold over 16 million records worldwide highlighted by an impressive 32 top 40 singles in Canada, including 12 Top 10 hits. The Canadian music legend is a Grammy nominee as well as an ASCAP, JUNO and multiple Quebec ADISQ award winner.
peermusic also recently signed the 2023 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductee, Loreena McKennitt to an exclusive global publishing agreement encompassing her entire catalog. McKennittâs âeclectic Celticâ music has received critical acclaim world-wide, and gold, platinum and multi-platinum sales awards in 15 countries across four continents. To date, she has sold over 14 million albums.

Mary Megan led the acquisition of the largest independent K-pop publisher in Korea in 2016, adding Korea as the thirtieth country to the companyâs global network, along with 40,000 Korean copyrights and works by K-pop groups BTS, EXO, and Monsta X. Peer previously led the opening of peermusicâs first office in mainland China, becoming the first global independent in mainland China. She had previously established a successful joint-venture partnership in China, which made peermusic the first Western independent publishing company to directly sign Chinese writers.
