Alison has a lifelong love of audio storytelling – its immediacy, its intimacy and its power to spark imagination. From her start as an early morning breaking news reporter covering everything from Olympics to elections to forest fires, to helping launch CBC’s flagship national morning program The Current, to her current position overseeing CBC’s radio and podcast strategy for the News division (including the daily podcasts Front Burner, World Report and Ideas, the investigative series The Banned Teacher and seven hyperlocal podcasts), she brings a passion for audio as an essential tool for helping audiences make sense of their world.
