Slim Pickerel

The members of Slim Pickerel all grew up in Canada’s most southern tip Essex County Ontario, just across the river from Detroit, Michigan.
Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band and over the years we’ve grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences. On our debut, self titled album, it’s easy to hear multiple influences of Rock, Country, Motown, Soul and Jam Band vibes.
Slim Pickerel’s songs are deeply rooted in the region in which they were created. Heavy on great lakes boating, fishing, agricultural, and the blue collar working class upbringings that have molded the musical minds of the band members.
