In less than a month Canadian Music Week (CMW) will once again take over the city of Toronto from May 2-8. Widely recognized as one of the premiere entertainment events in North America focusing on the business of music, the festival spans 7 nights of performances, with hundreds of showcasing bands at more than 40 live music venues in downtown Toronto. To sort through the flurry of music news over the last few months, we have tried to keep it short and sweet below. Looking forward to seeing you out and about!

Boots & Hearts and KX Country Present The Hot Shots CMW Showcase: Blackjack Billy, Meghan Patrick, Eric Ethridge, James Barker Band, Dani Strong, Kansas Stone Tuesday May 3 @The Phoenix Concert Theatre The Boots and Hearts Music Festival is an annual country music festival at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds from August 4th – 7th produced by Republic Live. The festival takes place on five stages. This year’s line up features Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Ray, Radiohead and more. NeXT + Wavelength + POP Montreal Present:  PARTNER (Wed, Thurs, Fri) Walrus, Entire Cities, Little Junior, For Esme, Billy Moon, She-Devils, Caveboy and more @ The Silver Dollar     Legendary Toronto promoter Dan Burke teams up with POP Mtl (May 6) and Toronto’s Wavelength Music Festival (May 7) for the annual NeXT@CMW Silver Dollar showcases. WayHome Presents: HUMANS, Amir Obe, Lucas Dipasquale, Kiki Rowe, and Heartstreets Saturday May 7 @ Mod Club The WayHome Music & Arts Festival produced by Republic Live, takes place at the custom designed Burl’s Creek Event Grounds July 22 – 24, 2016.
