Murphy knew that music was her future when she was told at 7 years old that the guitar would be too hard for her. A journey that initially began out of spite to prove them wrong quickly blossomed and it didn’t take long for her to begin showing great promise as a musician. She soon realized that she could apply her knowledge to create her own music and began to surprise teachers and audiences. In her younger years, she played in her church band where she soon began to lead groups of adults in performing, soon becoming the youth worship leader. She attended private school where there was no music program and, with her typical passionate conviction, she was known for protesting playing on sports teams and hiding in changerooms to play guitar instead. It was in high school where she was able to thrive, encouraged by teachers to challenge herself by learning new instruments- which amounted to 9 instruments explored in total. She attended Grant MacEwan University for a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Pop and Jazz for one year before deciding to carve out her own career, gaining extensive versatility and practical knowledge from the challenging program. She emerged with an ability to play each genre comfortably, and specifically loved learning to play jazz. Venues that heard her music were quick to ask her to open for bands and perform. These experiences have shaped her into a very capable and outstanding artist.
After attending a year of university, she travelled back and forth from Canada to the United States to expand her musical influence and network. She performed in many places across North America and gained many valuable industry connections and relationships along the way. Nowadays she continues to collaborate with large artists and labels in the EDM scene and beyond, frequently flying abroad to record and perform.
Today, her sound is founded both on her love of alternative music and her love of EDM music.
