Junk

Genres:

The Canadian rapper who’s been rewriting the game from the get-go. Starting off with writing, recording, and freestyle rapping at house parties during his early teens, he’s come a long way.

At the age of 14, JUNK was already hosting weekly Hip-Hop nights and holding the title of Vancouver’s freestyle rap battle champion. Then, in 2016, he inked a deal with Snak The Ripper’s Stealth Bomb Records. His debut solo album “I AM NO ONE” struck gold on the iTunes Canada Top 40 rap charts. A year later, his “Stupid & Ugly” album soared to #9 with over 12 million streams.

From supporting Snak to sharing the stage with global stars like Jack Harlow and Grammy-nominated Freddie Gibbs, JUNK’s stage presence has been felt across 40+ countries. He’s even ventured on his own headline tours in Canada.
2020 hit hard, but JUNK turned it into an opportunity, cranking out over 100 songs and 6 EPs for possible release. The result? A re-signing with Stealth Bomb Records.

In 2021, JUNK teamed up with label mate Young Stitch for the hit collab “LIONS EAT GOATS.” It didn’t just conquer iTunes Canada’s Hip Hop/Rap charts at #1, but also snagged him a WCMA ‘Breakout Artist of The Year’ nomination.

2022 was a defining year for JUNK. His “Wake Me Up When It’s Over” album skyrocketed to #2 on iTunes Canada’s Hip Hop/Rap chart. He dropped 8 music videos in support, embarked on 4 Canadian tours and 1 European Tour, totaling a whopping 71 shows. The grand finale? A sold- out gig in his hometown of Vancouver.

As 2023 unfolds, JUNK’s story continues. He’s flew to Florida for a studio sessions, and shot a music video with former Cash Money Records artist Caskey.

Hold up, there’s more: JUNK hit 1 million streams with “Do Or Die,” dou- bled it with “This Is My World,” and saw “Two Sides” ft. Caskey hit iTunes’ Top 5. On Spotify, he’s got 125k+ monthly listeners.

He also rocked a 2-day artist development seminar at the Co.lab Indie Artist Camp and cruised through both a Western Canadian Solo Tour and a National Canadian Solo Tour.

“Church” broke the million streams mark, and “Done With The Games” ft. Millyz surged into iTunes’ Top 5. He owned the stage at the Black Culture Celebration Festival alongside heavyweights like Kardinal Official, Mae- stro, Choclair, Rascalz, and more.
JUNK opened for Ludacris at the Calgary Stampede and shared the spot- light with Souls Of Mischief and Abstract Rude. His album “No Water In Hell” claimed the #1 spot on iTunes’ rap chart and an impressive #2 across all genres.

And did you catch the Vancity Hip Hop 50 event? Yeah, that was JUNK’s brainchild. He’s freestyled over 50 vinyl beats with Flipout and rocked the stage in an unforgettable freestyle session with Prevail.

So, if you’re looking for an artist who’s done it all – and is still going strong – keep your eyes and ears on JUNK. This is just the beginning of his story.
