IN FOES is an emerging alternative rock trio formed in 2020 in the province of Quebec, Canada. Initiated by the band’s drummer, Antony Jomphe, the project was born out of a reunion between former bandmates and friends. Antony and twins Olivier and Carl Ricard reconnected for an impromptu music session that, spurred on by the drummer’s infectious enthusiasm, soon led to the formation of the band, with Olivier on vocals and guitar and Carl on bass. Inspired by the greats of British rock music, their sound is alternative rock with rich sonorities and catchy, rhythmic melodies, occasionally touching on punk, pop and a little classical. Since the band has been quietly making a name for itself, it has been compared to British formation Muse.
It’s with great excitement that IN FOES finally share their first single Neon Walk in July 2022. It’s a rocking track, full of resounding energy. After just a few weeks, the track has already racked up over 10,000 streams on digital platforms like Spotify and YouTube. It is the centerpiece of their Fog Overhead EP, released in September 2022 and featuring a total of four songs.
Since 2023, the band has had the opportunity to take to the stage on several occasions and present a complete show to the public, consisting mainly of their original songs. The group performed at the Générations festival in July 2023, opening for Simple Plan. In Foes will release its first full-length album in April 2024.
