“This was our first time at Canadian Music Week in support of the SPOTLIGHT ON FRANCE. We found it to be the ideal event for our industry to create, perform, and do business with the Canadian music market. We returned home with many new contacts across all facets of the industry for working partners from Canada and other parts of the globe who attended CMW. We are looking forward to come back next year to expand our network.” Constance Richard, Music Officer, Cultural Service of the Embassy of France

“It was my first time attending Canadian Music Week and I felt so welcome, met such wonderful people and great professionals, it was simply amazing. I could attend passionate debates taking place at the heart of today’s music industry, discover fantastic bands live on stage and close great business deals at the same time without forgetting to mention the Music City Summit which was not only a first for me but also opened up brand new horizons for me. In other words definitely the place to be where I felt at home and am looking forward at next year’s edition for even greater musical event ”  Didier Zerath, DZ Factory – Artist management & Music industry consultant – President AMA-France, IMMF Board Member (France)

“CMW 2017 has been a success on several levels. For my management business, it was instrumental in gathering exclusive information about the Canadian market, for getting a feel for the market, but most of all it generated a series of very high profile contacts that brought further deals and engagements for my artists, like Fabrizio Cammarata performing at TIFF / Mongrel House and Pop Montreal. I experienced CMW as international marketplace, in which it was even possible to sit down and have a relaxed talk, comfortably in the conference hotel or around Toronto. All networking activities were a huge success and fun, from the festival dinner at the Castle attended with my colleagues from Ypsigrock Festival Sicily, to our Italian market panel, the speed-meetings, the synch sessions, the company parties, even the showcase events and dinners set up to meet our Italian colleagues of the MMF Canada. CMW led to exclusive contacts and strengthened relations among the present Italian professionals and even opened a series of interesting political contacts back in Italy. For Linecheck, it was possible to develop new contacts and learn from one of the longest going music conferences in the world.“ Christoph Storbeck, Striker Ent. – MMF Italy – Linecheck – Ypsigrock

“Each year, CMW continues to attract more and more internationals. It is a gateway to the world and when dealing with artists and music companies on a global scale, this perspective is critical to the success of Canadian Artists.”  Emmanuel Patterson, Director of Festivals, Live Nation Canada

“Quite possibly THE BEST Music Industry Convention in the world. Having attended my fourth CMW-in-a-row, I can now tell you it ranks right up there with SXSW as the finest music conventions for artists, managers, record labels, publishers, producers, engineers and everyone who needs to connect with the finest talent in our industry.  I wouldn’t think of missing one and, in fact, will implore my clients to attend in 2017 and beyond!” Joe D’Ambrosio, JD Management (New York) – Manager, Tony Visconti

It’s been 7 years since you brought me and the rest of the China delegation to CMW 2009 (the first conference for most of us).  It has set up a number of years of happy conference congregations (and two Handsome Furs Asia tours), and most of the people that were on that panel have continued to rock – Shen Lihui from Modern Sky has had his business valued at US$500m!!! The festival was awesome – I found at least 7 bands that I want to work with in China and I’ll let you know when I get them through.  We have Radio Radio coming to play Canada Day on the 25th June. Thanks again for the invitation.  Hope to see you again soon!” Archie Hamilton (China)

“Thoroughly enjoyed CMW and Toronto (what a brilliant city!), the B2B meetings were very successful and we met a range of industry personnel from all areas. I am confident that some of these meetings will lead to successful business relationships in the future!”   Jack Saunders , RIFT Management (London, UK)

“CMW is one of the few international conferences I am still attending personally. It is a very important networking event to me and the amount of quality acts very high.” Michael Bisping, A.S.S. Concerts (Germany)

“Meeting like-minded people who are just as passionate about the industry was very inspiring to us. We were made to feel very welcome by everyone working at CMW and we were presented with numerous opportunities to make connections and network with others in the industry. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it wholeheartedly.” Cathy Ahearne, Elm (Ireland)
