Umair brings two decades of experience working in the arts, heritage and culture sector. Since immigrating to Canada in 2014 he has worked in curatorial and management roles at the Aga Khan Museum and Harbourfront Centre. He is a fellow at Toronto Art Council’s Cultural Leaders Lab and Business / Arts Executive Leadership program. He has an MBA from University of Adelaide and a MSc Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oxford. He serves as a board member for Canadian Association for the Performing Arts (CAPACOA), North York Arts and MusiConnect Asia.
