“Sherri Anne [aka Sister Speak] is a great songwriter with a set of beautiful intentions when it comes to how she would like her art to influence the world” – For Folks Sake, UK

Sister Speak is the recording alias for Canadian singer and guitarist Sherri Anne. Hailing from Canada’s West Coast, Sister Speak’s sound is a fusion of alt-folk, blues and world music influences, with Sherri Anne’s soulful vocals and guitar playing at the forefront. Sister Speak is known for powerful live performances and socially conscious lyrics. She has a dedicated fanbase and has gained popularity through her acoustic performances, band concerts, songwriting and recordings.

This summer, Sister Speak returns to Germany to perform at multiple Open Air events and tours coast to coast in North America in support Love For All, out on Vinyl Record. To date, Sister Speak has released four critically acclaimed albums, each of them a result of moments of extreme vulnerability transformed into music.

Sister Speak has performed at events and festivals worldwide, including iconic venues like The Troubadour in Los Angeles. She has shared the stage with The Doobie Brothers, Xavier Rudd, Mary Lambert, reggae legend Don Carlos, and Air Supply among others. All 4 albums have aired on radio – with rotation on CBC, NPR, and BBC – and led to a “Best Pop” award at the San Diego Music Awards, “Top Ten Rhythm Guitarists” by NBC, regional finalist placement by CBC Searchlight and Juice FM “Breakout BC Artist.”

For Sister Speak’s upcoming new acoustic EP the journey has just begun. With Vancouver producers/engineers Elisa Pangsaeng (Said The Whale) and Erik Neilson (of City & Colour) at the helm, Sister Speak is ready to take us on a new maiden voyage.
