Born and raised in a Small Northern Ontario town, Matt’s career began in 2017 running an independent record label as a music lover & hobbyist working in Marketing & Advertising. Matt’s deep passion for music naturally resulted in a career in the music business. Matt brings over 6 years of music marketing experience focused on helping early-stage artists in developing & establishing their early fanbases. In 2019 Matt began working with Vice Media in creating a label services division, in 2020 The pandemic forced Matt in a position to continue this venture without the support of a major conglomerate which turned into Cube Music Agency. Cube built a reputation as a music marketing agency with a low barrier to entry for independent artists while providing educational resources to artists. Since the rise of Web3 Matt pivoted to be one of the founding members of Sol Music Ltd, a web3 music & technology company bringing new and innovative tech to aid musicians in navigating the music business. Since launching Sol Music in 2021 Matt has aided artists in raising over 6 figures of funding for their music & has built a community of thousands of avid music junkies looking to discover, incubate, and aid artists in their careers while creating products that have amassed thousands of users to simplify the process of marketing music (Lisnin.io). Upon graduation from Durham College’s Music Business Management Program in 2022, Matt launched the Lonely Listeners Club; a global community of thousands of music fans and independent music advocates that aims to help underprivileged and underappreciated artists gain their footing in the music business. With the help of the Lonely Listeners Club and Sol Music Ltd. Matt launched a currently “invite only” music marketing tool suite called Lisnin.io in 2023 as an “all in one” release marketing & PR tool for musicians. The platform was unveiled during a panel at the SoAlive Music Conference in Bulgaria in 2023 presenting with fellow co-founder Everton Lewis Jr. The goal for Lisnin.io aligns with most of Matt’s life’s work in aiding artists with new solutions for a new age of the music business. Today, Matt continues to develop Lisnin.io, develop business opportunities for Wracket Music, and manage the Lonely Listeners Club, while working with a wide roster of global artists and artists acting as a key member of the A&R team at Roadman Entertainment.
