Kevin Amougou

Kevin Amougou is a Montreal-based artist manager, A&R and music publisher whose talent and expertise in hip-hop and R&B are recognized internationally. With a prolific career spanning 15 years, he has forged his reputation as a figure in the music industry.

Originally from Cameroon, Kevin moved to France in his early teens, where he discovered his passion for rap and R&B. He chose to study economics, but he spent his free time helping his friend and cousin get into the French rap scene. At 21, this would be his first experience in artistic development and management. His friend was a local success and Amougou decided to find his own way. In 2010, he met MEM’S and became his manager. They have been working together ever since Amougou moved to Canada.

In 2011, Kevin set his sights on the Montreal scene, where he saw the potential, and immediately began to work with a small team of local DJs and other music creators, such (…).

In 2012, he founded Coaton Club. The main goal of Coaton Club was to change the culture and try to create the first influential agency that would have managed and developed local talent through bars and clubs. He already knew that the Quebec music industry would be reluctant because he wanted to question the way the industry worked. While continuing to build his team in Montreal, he closely monitored the pulse of French industry. This is how he ended up contacting and working with the French artist Booba, then with Nekfeu in 2015 and 2016 as a publisher. It was also in 2015 that he started collaborating with Shay Lia, and in 2016, we can hear Shay Lia on “Leave Me Alone” by Kaytranada.”

Kevin also runs his own music management and publishing company as the founder of Next One To Enjoy(NOTE Ltd). He is currently working with singer-songwriter Clerel (…)
