Andrea Williams was born and raised in Scarborough. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School. She spent over two decades as general counsel at a leading Swiss bank and survived the financial crisis. She is now recovering by doing intellectual property law and running an annual music industry event called Cool Out through her entertainment company Deep Roots Entertainment. She is working closely with the Cayman Islands Government to establish a legal and business framework within the Caribbean for creators and creatives. While Andrea is known as a specialist in the areas of banking, trusts and investment funds, she is passionate about intellectual property, global tax restructuring and helping aspiring creatives reach their goals. She recently worked with the Songwriters of North America (SONA) to create the Caribbean Chapter of SONA.
