In 1993, Martin joined Radiomutuel Inc. as a morning man in Val D’Or (Quebec), before moving to the Program Director position in 1996. Programming quickly became a passion, so did traveling from city to city. Quickly recognized to be a good radio “fixer”, he consecutively worked in the Ottawa market, in Trois-Rivieres, Montreal (Energie 94.3) and St.Hyacinthe where, as a General Manager, he helped launched Astral Media 3rd Network: Boomfm.

In December 2007, Jacques Parisien, Astral Media Radio President gives him what would become on of the the biggest challenges of his career: the rebranding and the re-launching of MIX 99.9FM.

Martin is one of the key architects behind the unique sound of Virgin Radio in Toronto. His quick climb to success with Virgin is recognized, as for the first time ever, a radio station is named “Canada’s radio station of the year” at the prestigious Canadian Music Week after only 1 year of eligibility. On December 2009, the same day Martin Tremblay announces that he leaves Virgin, the station survey results is confirming Virgin Radio the top station in Canada in cume reaching more than 4 million people per week.

In January 2010, Martin Tremblay is on a new technological mandate: to bring all Astral websites on a new web plateform and making sure to develop monitization of digital in the company.

In May 2011, he becomes Operation Manager for all Montreal Radio station and Executive Producer for the NRJ and Rouge FM networks in the province of Quebec.

In May 2014, Martin Tremblay works as a consultant as President of Oumf! Communications for such clients as Cogeco Diffusion, Rogers, Attraction Radio, RNC Media and Bell Media.
With Bell he crafts the 2 networks and rouge and ÉNERGIE quickly become the #1 and 2 stations in the Montreal market a first in 20 years.

Finally, in April 2019, Martin is hired as VP Stategy for all Cogeco Media music stations. In the past year, rythme one of Cogeco’s flagship, as regain it’s #1 position.

His 25+ years success as a programmer in French and English Canada earned him many prizes over the year. He was name radio programmer of the year in 2002.

Passion, dedication, execution driven, leadership are clearly his key assets. Martin loves radio… and technology and radio and web seem to love him!
