The Indie Brothers: In Conversation with Kevin Liles & Rob Stevenson
Interviewer: Gail Mitchell
Record execs are often nomads, working their mojo at one company then moving to the next challenge. But when Rob Stevenson joined 300 Entertainment as a partner last year, it was a return to his roots alongside 300 co-founder and CEO Kevin Liles, with whom he worked at Island Def Jam for five years. In their previous stint together in the ā00s, they signed acts like The Killers, Sum 41 and Fall Out Boy, before Stevenson went on to impressive A&R stints at Virgin Records America and Universalās Republic Records. Liles went to Warner Music, where he managed DāAngelo and Trey Songz among others. At 300, Liles and Stevenson combine a shared history and individual strengths for its growing roster, including Megan Thee Stallion, Highly Suspect and Young Thug.
Gail Mitchell, Billboardās executive director, R&B/Hip-Hop will interview the duo about their experiences together and apart, and the future of 300 Entertainment.
