As a promoter of bands like The Talking Heads Elvis Costello and Tom Petty in the Pacific NW, Allen Kovac had a vision for what the music business could be. He started 10th Street Entertainment, his artist management company in Los Angeles, to be able to maximize the careers of clients like The Cranberries, Mötley Crüe, Blondie En Vogue, and Duran Duran, among others. Kovac paired with advertising agency, DDB Needham and Strategic Research in the mid-90s to work on Media Buying and Consumer Research for the music business, planting the seed for his data-driven future work.
