Singer/Songwriter Workshop

Creating a Great Show WITHOUT a Band

Tom Jackson will be working hands on with Sam Drysdale and will select an artist or two from the audience of this class, to teach performance skills that address the specific issues/problems singer/songwriters encounter in putting on a live show. Learn what to do if you're stuck behind a microphone: how to create visual dynamics without much movement, how to create memorable moments, and how to keep your audience engaged. Tom will also address speaking to your audience: what to say and how to know when you're speaking too little or too much. Tom will be joined by vocal coach, Teresa Cirillo during part of this presentation.

Some of the "take-aways" from the class are:

What do I do if I’m stuck behind a microphone?
(How do I create visual dynamics without much movement?)
Creating memorable moments in my show.
How to construct my show if I have a 20 minute set, 30 minute set, etc.?
Making more money from my gigs.
