THE BLACK FEVER is a post-punk indie rock band based in Toronto, comprised of Shoe (vocals, guitar), Pat Bramm (bass, back-up vocals), and Dan Purpura (drums). The band’s music mixes guitar-based post-punk influences of Interpol, Joy Division, and The Cure with lead bass lines and propulsive drums, while reflecting the band’s focus on melody and concise songwriting.

The Black Fever has released three albums to date: Midnight Century (2015), Revisionist (2012), and Romanticism (2010), as well as a three song EP, A Little Help (2014). In 2016, the band re-released Midnight Century on cassette with five remixes done by other Toronto artists such as Sing Leaf and dreamcalls.

In 2018, the band recorded five songs with Ian Gomes at Union Sound Company for a new EP to be released in 2019. The first single, “Marketing,” was released on January 25th, 2019, with the EP to follow later in the spring/summer.
