Catchy hooks, screams and noise dance amid melodic guitar and raw power as their champion. Silence Kit blends the driving method of early 2000s alternative and the unrestrained vision of post punk, made readily apparent by their intimate and explosive live performances that always deliver, pure and simple. Formed in 2016, Silence Kit has been an ever growing staple of Winnipeg’s rock and indie scenes. Weaving between genres the quartet has gathered a diverse fan base coming from multiple music communities and is planning on slowing down. On October 5, 2018, Silence Kit released Kitty Kitty, their sophomore EP and celebrated with a successful show at the Good Will Social Club in downtown Winnipeg. Embarking on a 10 day tour of Ontario and Quebec playing the iconic Bovine Sex Club in Toronto and the ever famous Door’s Pub Taco Joint and Metal Bar before ending at Barfly in Montreal. 2019 began with the group playing the Manitoba Music Big Fun Showcase in January and co-headling the Snow Bar on the final day of concerts at Winnipeg’s Festival Du Voyageur.
