Rock & Roll
No Stories absorbs elements from 60s pop, early punk and garage to make catchy songs that manage to sound fresh and classic at the same time. Fronted by a colombiano who grew up in Washington DC surrounded by old rock & roll records, the band makes the kind of music they love to hear, with an outsider’s twist. They recall an early Strokes or the Libertines, if they had lived and played in more tropical and dangerous lands. Their debut Home EP includes the single “She Lives in New York”, which prompted Brooklyn-based music blog, Dingus, to write: “There is something about good pop music that my ears love, no matter what, I can’t pass it up. I need it to thrive and thank goodness for No Stories.” Back home they are known for their raw and energetic but impeccable live shows.
