Toronto, ON
A unique part of Toronto’s Hip-Hop community for over 9 years, Lex Leosis is an emcee you won’t forget. Her charismatic presence & abrasive lyricism has awarded her a notable spot in local and intl Hip-Hop scenes. With 3 N.A. tours under her belt, Lex rocks any stage with high energy, inclusive crowd involvement and effortless delivery. Lex has a decorated career in rap competitions and cyphers, including “International Women’s Day Cypher” which garnered millions of online views, and strong reviews from publications like Noisey, The FADER, CBC, Complex and more. Following her success, Lex co-created Toronto’s all-female super-group, The Sorority. They have been on a tear of stages and line-ups, opening for Joey Bada$$, DVSN, Miguel, and Jidenna, and headlining their own cross-Canada tour. Lex is respected by the community both on and off the stage. Lex mentors youth through Emcee Wreckshop and BAM! Toronto Youth slam, but she’s still a student at heart, with a healthy, genuine respect for the history, art, and spirituality of Hip-Hop. Most known for her dynamic flows, aggressive stage presence and elaborate story-telling, Lex is loud, opinionated, constantly fighting for what she believes in and hungry to make something out of her family name. When you press play on her records, you can hear that there’s an attack in her flow, a finesse in her lyricism and a hunger in her vocal tone. Her family gave her traditions, but Toronto’s West End shaped her.
